Sinn & Company is a U.S. consulting firm with
Chinese origins, helping small to mid-sized companies
successfully take advantage of China as a purchasing
resource, manufacturing base and marketing destination.
Born 20 November, 1954 in Hong Kong, international
trade consultant William Sinn, has founded his practice
on his ability to take U.S. businesses safely through
obstacles most non-Chinese consultants might not
see, and do it faster and better than they can accomplish
themselves.
William Sinn’s China trade strategies separate
him from the crowd as the consultant with the right
connections and the right approach, familiar with
both U.S. and China business practices.
Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, William
Sinn offers the advantage of excellent communications
with partners in matters of strategy, technique
and process. The firm conducts market research,
product analysis, business training and broad-scope
project management for establishing, maintaining
and improving China trade.
Sinn & Company officially opened for business
in the spring of 2004. The signature component of
the firm’s unique process is a two-week “China
Trip” that gives clients on-site orientation.
Clients are able to see Chinese staffing, factories,
and other foreign operations – details critical
to China trade decisions. Traveling through dozens
of cities, factories and cultural sites, they are
able to converse with potential partners face-to-face
and make decisions based on better understanding
of the issues involved.
To meet rising demand for educating overseas partners
on U.S. product requirements, Sinn & Co. implements
an outstanding communications training program,
teaching operatives on both sides of the ocean to
communicate techniques and processes critical to
success.
William Sinn was Director of Asia/Pacific Operations
for Campbell Hausfeld Co. from 1983 to 1995, building

China, overseeing construction of a new manufacturing
facility and establishing distribution and component
sourcing networks throughout China. From 1999 to
2004 he served as Vice President of International
Operations & Marketing for Actron Manufacturing
Co. in Cleveland, overseeing their north China subsidiary,
establishing a China and Pacific Rim supply network
and supervising U.S. marketing activities. Sinn
& Co. began as a consulting firm in the spring
of 2004, capping off a successful 25-year career
in Asian trade.
Born to a well-educated family, William Sinn came
