A Typical Trip for a Manufacturing Company

This itinerary is similar to one recently conducted for a manufacturer of industrial products. Your itinerary will be designed to introduce you to, and help you evaluate, specific partners, factories and suppliers of products and components that fit your business strategy for China.

Day 1: Leave USA

Day 2: Arrive in Hong Kong

Day 3: Apply for China Visa, Sightseeing in Hong Kong, Collect Visa, Ferry to Shenzhen. See factory William Sinn built while living in China.

Day 4: Meet Shenzhen potential partner, visit their factory and office. Visit hose factory, aluminum extrusion factory.

Day 5: Visit stamping factory, plastic injection molder, die cast aluminum factory. Dinner with potential partner.

Day 6: Fly to Fuzhou, met by manufacturer of similar product. Play golf. Dinner with product manufacturer.

Day 7: Visit product manufacturer's factory and office. Discuss products. Sight-see in Fuzhou.

Day 8: Fly to Ningbo. Drive to Ninghai. Visit a similar product manufacturer's factory and office. Visit their supplier factories, stampings, machined steel, etc. Visit their sister factory. Dinner with product manufacturer.

Day 9: Visit another similar product manufacturer in Ninghai. Visit the factories, office and supplier factories. Drive to Hangzhou.

Day 10: Visit similar product manufacturer, their factories office and sister factory. Drive to Shanghai.

Day 11: Visit similar product manufacturer, their factory and office. Dinner with product manufacturer.

Day 12: Sightseeing in Shanghai.

Day 13: Fly to Yantai, Shandong province. Meet potential partner. Visit screw machine factory and plastic injection molder. Dinner with potential partner.

Day 14: Drive to Longkou. Visit plastics injection molder, stamping factory, die cast aluminum factory and potential partner's factory. Fly to Beijing. Drive to Tianjin.

Day 15: Visit potential partners' factories – machine shop, iron casting foundry, aluminum casting factory, plastic injection molder, stamping factory. Drive to Beijing.

Day 16: Fly to U.S.A.
